In No Sense's Journey | Visit Our Studios
After receiving lots of questions regarding where your studio is and where the jewelry all comes from, today we're bringing you a blog post all about it!
Today we'll get a look into the history of In No Sense's journey from the start of our business to owning two studios now.
Let's take a look at the first part, shall we?
In No Sense's History
At the very beginning of the In No Sense's journey, Renée and Yoyo worked with a local jewelry store in China to wholesale their jewelry. However, due to Covid-19, the wholesale prices of the jewelry have been increasing significantly.
It wasn't long until a factory reached out wanting to work with them, and Renée and Yoyo had to make the decision whether to leave or stay with the current store they were with...
Choosing Which One To Go With
When considering working with a new factory, Renée explained that she will always request them to let her know their ethics and she will always ask them to send her every certificate they have, such as proof they use ethically sourced materials and proof of the production process.
She will also ask that they send samples to ensure they meet the standards and quality she is looking for because it is her responsibility to make sure that her customers receive the products with good quality.
After receiving all of these things from the factory that reached out to them, Renée and Yoyo decided to make the switch.
Their other key reasons for changing to a factory were:
- They offered good quality and prices
- They had better communication and service
- Their values aligned with Renée and Yoyo's in regards to sustainability
Established the first studio in Shenzhen, China
In the third month of their cooperation with the factory, Renée and Yoyo established their first studio in Shenzhen, China, which is small but cozy. They had to complete a series of tasks by themselves everyday including photo shooting, marketing, customer service, packaging, and handling after-sales issues, etc.
In two years, our team have grown from only 2 people to 20 people, which includes a team of jewelry designers. We also have a showroom, a long-term cooperative photography team and models.
Established the second studio in Vancouver, Canada
After Renée studied abroad, she also brought the brand to North America. Renée is mainly responsible for the development of B2C business, which bring In No Sense to the world. Our Vancouver studio is only responsible for part of the online customer service and packaging, which is currently not open to the public.
Hope this blog has clarified your doubts!
